The last ProBall Streetball event was one of the biggest and best basketball days we’ve ever run.
More than 200 players turned up from all over Sydney, including teams and players from Norths, Hornsby, the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, and beyond. Some kids arrived with their whole team. Others came on their own. By the end of the day, everyone was part of the same basketball environment.
That’s what makes Streetball different.
It’s not about where you’re from.
It’s not about what level you play at.
It’s about showing up and playing.
We had beginners stepping onto the court, learning how to space the floor, pass, cut, and compete. We also had high-level Rep players pushing the pace, running fast-breaks, and battling on every possession. Those two worlds mixing together is what creates real development.
Kids had to adjust to new teammates.
They had to communicate.
They had to make decisions on the fly.
That’s what basketball actually looks like.
There was no downtime. Only four players against four players. Games ran back-to-back. Players rotated through teams. Parents watched from the sidelines as their kids played more basketball in a few hours than most programs get in weeks.
The atmosphere was loud, energetic, and competitive in the best way. Everyone was there to play.
That’s why ProBall Streetball has become one of our favourite events. It creates confidence. It builds game IQ. It gives kids the chance to experience real basketball in a fun, fast-paced environment.
We’re now getting ready for the next one, and spots are filling quickly. Once again, players from all over Sydney will be coming together to compete, learn, and enjoy the game.
If your child loves basketball, this is an event they shouldn’t miss.
